| How to apply on-line for Return Home Fellowships |

This document describes the on-line application process for Return Home Fellowships.
- To access online applications, open the page Applications. You will see a list of available applications.
- Applications are available for on-line editing until the deadline date (midnight, Eastern Standard Time = Montreal time).
- You need to log onto the system in order to open the application.
- If you do not remember your password, request it by sending an e-mail to password.request@ibro.info. You will receive an answer with 48 hours.
- Note: You must be an IBRO member to apply for the grant. Check the FAQs on how to become a member.

Referees:
- Two Referees are
required, one of whom should be your current Supervisor. You must enter
her/his info in this section again (in addition to the entry above).

This application
will automatically send an e-mail to your two Referees requesting the
Letter of Reference and providing the
instructions how to access and fill in the online form.
Application for
the Fellowship:
Applicants must provide the
following details about their activities upon returning to the home institution:
- Research plan - a description of research planned
upon return
- Work plan -
for the initial two years

Financial plan -
to start your research lab
- Financial resources available - amount and date of grants already obtained, date of grants submitted,
etc.
The Authorized Representative of the
Home InstitutionThe applicant must make the arrangements with the Home Institution. The system
sends a request to the person identified by the applicant as the authorized representative to
provide a signed declaration with the following details:
- Laboratory space
(location,
area, state of the space, etc.)
- Funds for supplies
(total
amount, method of disbursement, etc.)

Relief of teaching duties
(maximal
number of hours per term / semester)
- Other types of support (
sharing of common facilities, technical support, clerical support, etc.)
General
- Uploading of files (normally not required)
Final
- Confirmation of the completion of application. In order for the system to register your application, you must click on "Restart".
A brief note on entering data in the forms
- The text prepared in MS Word and copy/pasted in the forms
needs to be cleaned from the Word code incompatible with the HTML. To
remove the code, you can either copy/paste in Notepad and then to the
forms or use the filter available in the Editor of this application
("Clean HTML Content").
- The data are saved as soon as you click on "Insert" (for the first time entries) or on "Update".
- In areas where multiple entries are allowed, there will be a button "Add New". Once finished with entries, use "Continue". If there are no entries, use "Cancel".
